Ativan has been a saver for me. When I feel panic symptoms coming on, especially when I am at work, they tend to work rapidly to reduce my symptoms. I do not feel sleepy after taking ativan. Just a peaceful calm!

I feel your pain. I have that sense of loss too, but then I also have Chris ranting about how we should not celebrate someone who had his issues. But I hear you, I am facebook friends with the one girlfriend who I practiced the moonwalk with, but she is never on, so yeah, no real way to connect with someone who shares those memories. But you know, you and I were doing the same thing, your parents were just cool enough to let you get tickets on your own. did someone drive you to wait in line? it would have been a 1 hr drive to the venue for me so yeah, no teeny bopper concert going for me. sadly. Chris and I have agreed that I may openly mourne if/when Sting passes away though.

Michael Jackson does bring a lot of nostalgia back for our generation. I'm not mourning his loss personally, but I feel bad for his family and especially his children.

I'm sorry you lost such an iconic part of your teen-hood, hon. I would say the best way to memorialize him would be to listen to his music. I called up "Captain EO" on Youtube over the weekend and the kids danced to it. I think Michael would have smiled over that. :)

It's a tough call - working and kids and all that. I have pretty strong feelings about it, which I'm not going to lay out in a blog comment. Ultimately, you and your husband have to work out what's best for you and your parents or random people just can butt the hell out. I stopped listening to my parents about 20 years ago and am very comfortable with that decision!

I'm right there with you. Ty-man talks about me going back to school to get my teaching certificate to teach HS physics and math. The problem? Taking care of kids and studying? Not looking forward to it. Teaching calculus? Not going to happen until the other calculus teacher retires. Which means I'd be teaching general math and hating it.

I can sympathize, but I can't empathize. The three months I spent at home with Celeste and India during maternity leave were three of the longest and most depressing months of my life. I thought I was going to go out of my mind. Then again, Celeste cried today when I took her to day care, saying, "I just want to stay home with you, mama!" Yeah. Guilt to the max. Maybe you can find a 3/5ths or 4/5ths position - nearly the same $$ and bennies, and that fraction makes a HUUUUUGE difference. Sorry about the other position. Keep us posted!

Shredding is a workout from HELL by Jillian Michaels. It is going well. Just finished one third of a 30 day shred. I am much stronger, though I haven't lost a damn pound. Update: I removed the offending link by having my student sign into her blog on my computer and then just deleting it, explaining, of course, that I had made a "mistake". Then I proceeded to check both girls' blogs and every comment I ever posted... no more errors! So I'll be putting my profile back soon. I may still relocate soon.
